Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Families
I am writing to inform you of an important change to our staff team at Newtown C of E Primary School. Mrs Ough, our Leading Practitioner: Operations & Resources, who has been a valued member of our team and is in her eleventh year at Newtown C of E Primary School, will be leaving us at February half term to take on a new Executive Business Leader role, supporting five different schools in another part of the county. Mrs Ough has made a significant contribution to the school during her time here, and we are grateful for the hard work, dedication, and care that she has shown towards our children and wider community.
We are very fortunate that we have a very highly competent and efficient school office and therefore, I am delighted to announce that both Mrs Scriven and Mrs Beames have been successful in being promoted internally to two new positions. Mrs Scriven has now been appointed the new School Business Manager and Mrs Beames has now been appointed the Communications and Marketing Administrative Officer. Both of these positions will commence after the Christmas period to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, we have been successful in recruiting an Administration Receptionist who will be starting with us mid-January.
Mrs Furlonger will be taking on the role of the Senior Mental Heath Lead and is currently undertaking the training. Mr Bagley will be co-ordinating the mental health referrals for children alongside Mrs Whittle, Miss Claridge and Mrs Molyneux who are all mental health first aiders.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Ough for her time at Newtown C of E Primary School and wish all the best in her future endeavours. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs E Howlett
Headteacher

School Hall

KS2 Classes
Please can we ask that all children are collected promptly at 3:15pm today and all families make their way back outside the school gates to wait for all staff to be ready on their stalls, ready for a 3:30pm start.
Entrances to the fayre will be both hall doors and the KS2 gates. We ask all adults and school age children to pay £1 on entry which will include a free visit to the animal nativity. Once inside, families can free-flow through the open KS2 classrooms, KS2 external corridor door, Rabbits classroom external door and the hall corridor external door. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Christmas Fayre this evening, to raise much needed funds for the school!
