If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2024. All information can be found on the Hampshire County Council School Admissions website pages: www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions
You can apply from 1 November 2023. You can name 3 schools on your application in order of preference. If your child qualifies for a place at more that one of the schools on your application, the school ranked highest on your application will be allocated. The deadline for applications is 15 January 2024.
Parents will be notified of their child's allocated school on 16th April 2024. You will then be invited to accept your child's school place.
We can still, however, offer tours and a meeting with the Headteacher. Please contact the school office on 02392 584048 to arrange this.
Following the notification date of 16th April, we will send you a bumper welcome pack and write to all parents to welcome you to the Newtown C of E Primary School family and detail all our Ready Steady School programme transition events for you to attend.
