Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The entire school community has today observed a minute's silence to remember those who fought for our freedoms and continue to do so in our Armed Forces. The children also attended a collective worship this morning, with a theme of 'respect', focusing on Remembrance Day. The Newtown C of E Primary School commemorative wreath was then laid in our Garden of Remembrance.
Once again, our school community will be commemorating Remembrance Day on Monday 11 November 2024.
The whole school will be observing a one minute silence, along with the rest of the nation, at 11am, to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict and in war. The children will be taking part in a special Collective Worship led by Mrs Howlett at the start of the day and our Forces Club will lay our remembrance wreath in our memorial garden.
Any pupils who wish to commemorate the day by wearing their Cadet, Beavers, Brownie or other scouting/girl guide uniform may do so if they wish. Thank you in advance for your support with this occasion. Should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
