  • Year 2 Visit to Gosport Discovery Centre

    Tue 22 Oct 2019

Year 2 really enjoyed their trip to Gosport Discovery Centre Library on Monday! They learnt all about how the books were organised and how to find books they might need.

The pupils then played Dewey Bingo - they had to find the category the library lady told us e.g. football, find out which number it was, then see if that number was on their bingo cards! If the pupils got all nine, they shouted "Bingo!"

After that, the library lady read The Queen's Knickers because she knew the children were learning all about Queens in school. The pupils were all very excited and they can't wait to go again!

    Thank you Gosport Discovery Centre!

  • Rotary Shoebox Appeal

    Fri 18 Oct 2019

Just a reminder that Shoe-Boxes for the Rotary Club Shoebox Scheme need to be brought into the school office by THURSDAY 24th OCTOBER.

We need as many children as possible to make up a shoe box containing small educational and health & hygiene items, together with £1 to help towards transportation costs.

Each Shoe Box will help bring joy to disadvantaged children across Eastern Europe and Africa.

If you would like to create a shoe box, please pick up a leaflet in the school foyer which will also contain your shoe box label.

Thank you for supporting this worthy cause!

It was an excellent morning with important messages delivered to our pupils, linked to our Christian Ethos Values of Love, Courage and Friendship.

  • Anti-Bullying Conference

    Fri 11 Oct 2019

Our Anti-Bullying Champions have attended the Anti-Bullying Pupil Conference in Winchester today. The theme of the conference is: ‘Stand By Me’. The pupils will reflect on the topics of: self-esteem, identity, friendship and internet use, as well as learning more about ideas already working in Hampshire schools.

Throughout the day, the participants (both adults and pupils) will be encouraged to consider how they are going to use what they hear to address potential bullying in their schools. By the end of the day, participants will be able to identify their next steps, having considered the possible barriers, as well as being inspired for innovation and action.

On Friday 18th October, all pupils in KS2 will take part in Anti-Bullying Workshops and watch an Anti-Bullying Concert as part of our on going commitment to this subject.
