On World Mental Health Day, it is important to come together to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. Talking about our mental health can help us cope better with life’s ups and downs.
World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October. This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.
At Newtown C of E Primary School we look after our staff and promote good mental health throughout the year but today our Senior Mental Health Lead has launched termly Staff Wellbeing-Drop-In Sessions, so that we can support and signpost staff to improve their mental health and wellbeing, be that at work or in their everyday lives. Because we stand brighter, together.
