We have a fantastic library here at Newtown C of E Primary School, with colourful, inviting seating and spaces with a great selection of books for all age groups in school.
We promote family reading time at home and the children also have weekly library time as a class. The children also spend time reading with our Reading Volunteers throughout the week.
Book Sale
Miss Winder, our Library Manager and Learning Support Assistant, opens The Book Shop every Friday after school for children to spend their Birthday Book Voucher. This voucher entitles the children to a free book of their choice. Vouchers are also given on occasions for rewards and leaving gifts.
There are also books that the children can buy. All books are £1 so accessible to all. The stock is regularly replenished.
