Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are delighted to announce that many children have achieved 100% attendance during this term. As a reward, we have 2 vouchers each term to reward one pupil in EYFS/KS1 and one pupil in KS2 with a family meal at the Sailmaker. The names of all the pupil's who have achieved 100% attendance were put in a hat and the lucky winners were:
Eva in Robins and Harvey in Foxes. Congratulations!!
In addition we have had 6 children who have achieved 100% for the whole year! These children will be treated in September to a Bowling experience day:
Ellis in Dragonflies
Jennifer in Ladybirds
Sam in Robins
Kai in Squirrels
Betty in Squirrels
Connor in Squirrels
Well done everyone!
We had a special celebration collective worship today to wish Mrs Howlett, Mrs Davies and Miss Murray well as they start their maternity leave. We will miss you all. We also congratulated Miss Johnson on her forthcoming marriage to Mr Jones.
Year 6 are a talented cohort of singers, actors and performers and their farewell show was eagerly anticipated by all! The children did not disappoint with their stunning performance of ‘Pantastic’, a soaring musical adventure based on Peter Pan by JM Barrie. The singing was superb, the performers dazzled and the characters were extremely convincing! They worked so hard to produce a show to such a high standard and we are very proud of them all.
Following this show, we will say goodbye to Year 6 at the Leavers Church Service tomorrow at Christ Church. This wonderful group of children have made a tremendous contribution to the life of the school and we will miss them greatly. We look forward to hearing all about their wonderful achievements in the future and wish them the very best of luck.
Our summer RockSteady concert took place this morning and the children "rocked the house!" Videos can be found on our video resource centre via or homepage or https://newtown-cofe-vc-primary-school.primarysite.media/
If you would like your child to experience RockSteady lessons, please take a look at the information flyer which will be sent to all parents tomorrow with the Newtown News.
