Year 5 became archaeologists and historians this week!
They were able to look at Greek artefacts to decipher what the artefact could be and what it might be used for.
The children learnt about lives from the past, from the buildings that survived from that era and from the artefacts. The children were amazed at how much still exists from thousands of years ago!
Newtown C of E Primary School will be celebrating Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 5th February 2019.
The children will be learning about e-safety throughout the day and we invite all parents to attend the E-Safety Breakfast Workshop for parents at 9.15am to listen to some very important messages and learn tips and tricks to keep your children safe online!
Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.

Yesterday, Year 1 recreated the Great Fire of London with the help of Mr Newman.
Children made their houses as part of their recent home learning and watched today as the fire destroyed the city from the infamous Pudding Lane bakery.
Yesterday, year 6 received letters from Hogwarts.
They were given tasks to complete before they would be considered for Hogwarts admittance in September.
All the children were then sorted into Hogwarts houses by the sorting hat.
