Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Due to staff absences, the school office is short staffed and will be until the middle of next week. If you have a non-urgent query please email adminoffice@newtown.hants.sch.uk
Please bear this in mind when visiting the school site, as it may take longer to answer the entry system and collect any children for you at the end of the day. Telephones may take a little longer to get answered, but we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.
Please note that the school bookshop will also be closed for this week and next.
Another settled night at our Y5/Y6 residential at Stubbington Study Centre.
Yesterday the children built dens, learnt how to use a compass and went pond dipping. In the afternoon, they worked together in teams to build a capsule to protect an egg before launching it from a trebuchet.
Last night, a local wildlife photographer came to show some photos of different animals he has photographed over the years. He shared stories about how how he managed to capture such beautiful shots.
Late last night some of the children snuck away to the hide and managed to spot some foxes and badgers having their supper.
It's a cold one today so the children are all wrapped up ready for another day of fun!
Mrs Howlett has arrived back at school and is delighted to report that Years 5 and 6 are all settled in at Stubbington and having a great time.
Yesterday they went to the beach to make rockpools, build sandcastles and hunt for fossils. They have started today with a full English breakfast before heading off to build dens and undertake some orienteering.
They have been very lucky with the weather so far and we hope it lasts the whole week!
