Application & notification dates for admissions in September 2027

If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2026. All information can be found on the Hampshire County Council School Admissions website pages: www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions 

You can apply from 1 November 2026. You can name 3 schools on your application in order of preference. If your child qualifies for a place at more that one of the schools on your application, the school ranked highest on your application will be allocated. The deadline for applications is the 15th January 2027. 

Parents will be notified of their child's allocated school on 16th April 2027. You will then be invited to accept your child's school place.

Following the notification date in April, we will send you a bumper welcome pack and write to all parents to welcome you to the Newtown C of E Primary School family and detail all our Ready Steady School programme transition events for you to attend. This is an exciting time for your child and we cannot wait to meet them!
