Butterfly Class

Butterfly Class

Welcome to Butterfly class. Our children have access to a bespoke curriculum to support them with learning. Butterfly room is adapted to encourage a sensory learning atmosphere alongside a language rich environment. The children will take part in activities in small groups and 1 to 1, to allow for enriched learning opportunities.  Some of the activities include; Bucket Time, TAC PAC, Food Explorers, Sensory Stories, Self-Care activities, turn taking games and many more. The children are supported by practitioners who are trained to recognise and adapt learning opportunities to support each child in their own way to ensure that each child can achieve.

Home Reading

The children are given opportunities to read with the adults in class and develop their reading skills. Each week the children will select a reading book from the Library to take home and read with family members. Please can you return the book each week to ensure your child has a different book each week.

Spare Clothes

During the week, the children take part in sensory activities in which the children could get messy or wet. To allow the children to continue to explore and learn, we would ask you send the children into school with spare clothes or welling and water proofs.

Home Communication

Throughout the week, the children take part in a variety of different activities by themselves and with their peers. The Butterfly staff members will send photos on Tapestry to update you on what the children have been taking part in and the skills they are learning.

Do you think this is along the lines of what we need?

Hope this helps, let me know if you need me to add more information.

Thank you,

James
