Muddy Boots Gardening Club

Award Winning Muddy Boots Gardening Club

Muddy Boots is Newtown’s award winning gardening club which has been running for around eight years by Mrs Edgar.

Mrs Edgar, won an award at the BALI National Landscape Awards in Park Lane, London, for her outstanding contribution working with children to build their understanding and love for horticulture and gardening. They also mentioned her selfless commitment, dedication and unswerving determination over several years that has seen the school's gardening club grow in popularity, providing many children with the opportunity to discover the joys of gardening and horticulture.

Over the years Muddy Boots has entered many gardening competitions including South, South East and Gosport in Bloom and has won gold several times, making Newtown very proud of the long running club.

Since Mrs Edgar's retirement, Miss Golding has taken lead of the Muddy Boots with Mrs Edgar volunteering.
