If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Joining our School
Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision to make, as a parent/carer, and we want to be able to help make this a straightforward process for you. We recommend that you visit the schools in your locality to ask the questions important for you and of course see the school at work.
If you would like your child to attend our school, please contact the school office in the first instance, who will be able to give you the latest status of the waiting lists, the application procedure and make an appointment for you to visit.

If your child is currently attending another local school and you wish them to come to Newtown, it is likely that the Headteacher will arrange a joint meeting with a member of staff from your child’s current school so that we can ensure the best transition between schools as possible.
If your child is due to start school, you will probably see notices around the local area and in pre-schools telling you to contact your catchment area school. Hampshire Local Education Authority forms may be collected from the school office.
Applications can also be made on-line in the Autumn term http://www3.hants.gov.uk/admissions with a closing date early the following January.
Applications should be returned to the school you would like your child to attend; this may not necessarily be your catchment school. Year R children currently attend school part time at the start of the Autumn Term.
If you are moving into our area, please contact the school office or the County Admissions Team. They will let you know whether places are available or whether you need to join our waiting list.
